Nerstrandkaia dock – TromsøExplore Tromsø’s stunning landscapes
Downtown Tromsø is on an island, called Tromsøya, making it possible to sail all the way around Norway’s arctic capital. We’ll also see other islands, fjords, charming villages, towering mountains, and maybe even Arctic wildlife.
Along the way aboard our warm and comfortable catamaran, expert guides will fill you in on the historical, social, and meteorological influences that shaped this region, including why Tromsø is called the “Paris of the North.” The guides also offer photography tips to help turn your snapshots into jaw-dropping landscape pictures.
The tour includes:
- Fjord cruise on board a quiet, stable and environmentally friendly catamaran
- Knowledgeable guide who speaks English
- Free coffee or tea from our snackbar
- Warm and spacious cabin with comfortable leather seats
- Panoramic windows and a spacious outdoor deck
- Free WiFi
Our exact route can vary with weather, but is sure to include rugged, awe-inspiring landscapes that will leave you with memories for life. On top of amazing sights, you’ll learn about the history of the region from the Stone Age to today, as well as hear tales about the lifestyle and heritage of the hardy people who settled here in the far north. We’ll also tell you about the region’s important place in World War II and during the Cold War.
We always hope to spot Arctic wildlife, sometimes even majestic sea eagles.
