Booking
It is a good idea to book well in advance of departure to be assured space. Tickets can be ordered online at rodne.no, purchased at the boat’s dock before departure or at Rødne's Customer Service Center in Stavanger as well as at Tourist Information in Bergen and Stavanger.

Travel documents for bookings done on rodne.no will be sent by email. At other sales outlets, the vendor is responsible for providing the necessary travel documents.

NOTE: Bookings are required for children under age four even on departures where they travel for free.

Group discounts are offered on some of our tours, and are specified in each tour information online. The discount is only given for tickets purchased online at rodne.no

Payment
Online bookings at rodne.no are paid by credit card. You can also pay using Vipps.

Tickets may be purchased at the boat’s landing with credit cards or cash (Norwegian kroner only). You may use your credit card for purchases at our Customer Service Center.

Discounts for tickets may not be combined with other discounts.

Boarding
You are responsible for bringing your own travel documents and making sure they are in accordance with your booking. Valid travel documents must be shown during boarding, either as a printed ticket or a digital ticket displayed on a mobile phone or other electronic device. QR codes must be visible for scanning. A valid ID is required when purchasing discounted tickets.

You must be at your boat’s landing at least 20 minutes before departure. Rødne reserves the right to deny boarding to those who arrive later than that. Rødne does not refund tickets for late arrivals.

Delays and cancellations
Rødne can cancel trips due to extreme weather conditions that make a departure inadvisable. In such (rare) circumstances, Rødne will refund tickets or change them to the next departure that has availability.

Rødne can also cancel trips due to circumstances beyond its control, such as natural disasters, labor conflicts or other circumstances that make a departure difficult or inadvisable (force majeure). Guests are not entitled to refunds if a cancellation is due to force majeure.

Your ticket vendor is responsible for keeping you posted about significant changes to your booking.

Changing/cancelling your ticket
Tickets bought online at rodne.no: Up to three days before departure date, the traveler can cancel the booking on My page. A link to My page is in the order confirmation e-mail from us. The refund is automatically credited to the traveler`s account.

Cancellations later than three days before departure date: All cancellations and changes must be done by email. Please provide names and booking numbers when requesting a refund. Note that it can take up to 10 working days before a refund is credited to the travelers`s account.

Tickets purchased at one of our sales outlets: Contact the vendor directly.

We offer a full refund on all paid tickets cancelled at least three days before the scheduled departure date. After that deadline, a full refund will only be granted if the trip was prevented due to illness or injury confirmed by a physician’s certificate. You can change your ticket to another departure subject to availability.

Travelers with special needs
All of our boats are designed to accommodate baby carriages and a limited number of wheelchairs. When possible, we help passengers with manual wheelchairs move into a regular seat. Note: We are only allowed to one electric wheelchair per trip.

Tickets for guests with wheelchairs can be ordered online at rodne.no, followed by an email with your booking number to alert us and the crew to your needs.

We urge our guests with wheelchairs to meet up well in advance of departure.
If travelers have other special needs, please contact us in advance and we will do our utmost to make the trip possible.

Complaints
Guests who believe there were shortcomings in their trip with or services provided by Rødne should immediately register their complaint with Rødne or its representative, so we can take appropriate action as quickly as possible. Any complaint or claim for compensation must be sent in writing by letter or by email within two months of the trip. A copy of the ticket and other relevant documentation must be attached.
