Lysefjord cruise – experience Preikestolen

Cruise from Stavanger to Lysefjord

Our electric boat sails from downtown Stavanger to Lysefjord and Preikestolen all year. The 3–3.5–hour Lysefjord cruise is filled with fun for young and old. In Fantahålå (Vagabond’s Cave) you see where the “vagrants” hid from the sheriff in the old days. With luck, we might even see the occasional seal sunbathing on a rock. Not long after, we can spot the spectacular Preikestolen above the fjord, where Tom Cruise climbed the sheer mountain face in the movie Mission Impossible 6. Then we continue to the towering Hengjanefossen waterfall, where the crew brings the bow as close as possible to the falls. When spring comes to the region, we also stop to feed our goats at summer pasture in Lysefjord. They love our visits! The crew tosses carrots and other treats to them. 

Comfortable fjord experience with our modern and electric boat 

Our modern boats have sundecks, spacious cabins and kiosk and glide through the fjords almost in silence. On most of the departures you’ll travel with our electric boat, MS Rygerelektra. The kiosk offers fresh and tempting baked goods from our local bakery, snacks and cold/hot drinks.
