The ultimate whale watching experience
Join us as we sail from Tromsø early in the morning on a thrilling whale watching adventure! Our warm and luxurious catamaran is not only sustainable, but is also fast, making us among the first to reach the whale’s feeding grounds. That means you can spend more time being amazed by Orcas, Humpbacks and porpoises playing in the fjords of Northern Norway. Whales are very sociable animals, so don’t be surprised if they put on a little show for you.
Snuggle down in a comfortable seat, grab a cup of complimentary coffee or tea and simply enjoy the sight of the majestic Lyngen Alps, the Tromsø fjords and the colorful Polar night sky during your cruise.

About our purpose-built sightseeing boat
Our luxurious, sustainable catamaran is the perfect choice for comfortable whale watching in the cold Arctic winter! She is designed specifically for sightseeing tours, meaning that she is spacious, quiet, comfortable and seaworthy, even in rough seas.
Breathe in the crisp Arctic air and admire the impressive whales from our large viewing decks, or from our warm cabin with panoramic windows. Our licensed café offers tempting, locally baked treats, snacks and drinks to enjoy when you’re not busy capturing photos of Orcas, Humpbacks or porpoises!

Learn about animals in the Arctic
As you cruise the Arctic fjords, you learn more about the whales and their migration from our enthusiastic and professional guides. They are always available and eager to share their knowledge about these magnificent animals and other local wildlife.
While you enjoy your time aboard our comfortable boat, our experienced crew are on the lookout for whales. When the crew spots them, the captain lets you know in plenty of time to head out to spacious viewing decks and watch these beautiful giants in their natural habitat.

Second chance guarantee
Our crew will do everything they can to ensure that you see Humpbacks or Orcas on our whale watching tour from Tromsø. If you don’t get to enjoy these impressive animals on your first trip, we give you a free voucher for our next available whale watching cruise in the same season.

Sustainable & Responsible Whale Watching
We are committed to sustainable and responsible whale watching tourism. Our silent, fuel-efficient engines ensure minimal impact on marine life, allowing us to glide quietly through the Norwegian fjords without disturbing the whales. Rødne Fjord Cruise follows Visit Tromsø’s guidelines for whale watching, meaning that we keep a respectable distance and allow these incredible animals to approach our boat on their own terms.
