After a stunning fjord experience, we dock in Forsand to meet our expert guide from Fjord Expedition for the fishing in Lysefjord trip. After a quick safety briefing and introduction to the fishing gear by our experienced fisherman, we head back out onto the water, this time in an open, 24-foot fishing boat.
Our guide provides warm clothing suited to the day’s weather so you can enjoy this thrilling fishing trip in comfort. Surrounded by magnificent landscapes, we try our luck with fishing rods and pre-baited traps. What’s for dinner? Mackerel, perhaps? Or maybe pollock, crab and even crayfish?
Cook and dine by the fjord
After an hour of fishing, we head to the unique Lysefjord-Helleren, our very own fjord restaurant by the cliffs of Lysefjord. This hidden gem is only accessible by boat. Together, we prepare a full dinner from the catch of the day – usually homemade fish soup, grilled fish or crayfish and boiled crab. Enjoy local juice and coffee/tea with your meal, and save some room for the dessert: Traditional Norwegian waffles with brown cheese, jam and sour cream.
After a delicious meal, a short boat ride takes you to Vika where a comfortable minibus awaits. Sit back and enjoy the ride to Stavanger.

No, you don’t need any previous fishing experience. Our fishing expert will teach you everything you want to know. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned fisher, this is a relaxed, small-group tour where everyone can enjoy the thrill of fishing in Lysefjord.
Depending on the season, typical catches include mackerel and pollock. We’ll also pull up traps set the day before that might catch crabs and crayfish. You never know what surprises the fjord has in store!
We provide warm, weather-appropriate clothing at Forsand. You should also dress in layers and wear shoes suitable for being outdoors. A hat and some gloves are also handy. We’ll take care of the rest, including waterproof outerwear, if needed.
We operate in rain and shine and provide proper gear to keep you warm and dry.
If we see the need to cancel the tour due to bad weather, we’ll either reschedule your trip or provide a full refund.
