Accessibility
Can the boats accommodate wheelchairs, baby carriages and the like?
General
Yes, the boats can handle them but only have capacity for one electric wheelchair and a limited number of manual wheelchairs per trip. We help passengers with manual wheelchairs get into a regular seat, when possible.
Book tickets for travelers with a wheelchair at rodne.no.
We urge travelers bringing wheelchairs to meet up at the departure point plenty of time before departure.
Tromsø
There is a lower water level in Tromsø, which results in a steeper gangway for disembarkation and boarding. This requires that the wheelchair user have the mobility to walk on and off the boat, and up and down stairs. Our crew will be helpful in getting both the passenger and wheelchair safely on board. This also applies to baby carriages.
