Climb the world’s longest wooden staircase to the world’s best view!
Every Saturday and Sunday during the summer, we’ll take you on a wonderful day trip to Lysefjord and Flørli, where all 4,444 steps of the famous Flørli stairs await! The cruise departs Stavanger in the morning and, after brief stops for boarding at Lauvvik and Oanes piers, continues on into Lysefjord. We sail through beautiful fjord landscapes past the majestic Preikestolen and arrive at the former power plant village Flørli early in the morning.
Flørli is an idyllic, roadless resort that offers beautiful scenery, unique outdoor experiences, an exciting history of hydroelectric power and a cozy café. Flørli is best known for having the world’s longest wooden staircase, with 4,444 steps in all. The top of the stairs is 750 meters above sea level. The climb is really worth the effort, since the fantastic views from the top include beautiful Lysefjord and Preikestolen’s mountains!
Flørli is also a perfect base for other outdoor adventures. You can rent a kayak or paddle a canoe to explore Flørli from the sea. Or hike the new Flørli Waterfall Trail.
